Third session of the Edinburgh Photobook Club in the Art & Design Library at Edinburgh Central Library (7-9 George IV Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1EG) on Wednesday April 11 from 5:30pm to 7:50pm.

The theme of this session is “Covers“. The cover of a book is often what makes us want to see more of what’s inside. One of the topics that will be interesting to discuss is how a cover relates to the content of the book or not. In other words, we will be judging books by their cover!

Each participant should bring a photobook that he/she thinks relates to this topic in an interesting and imaginative way.
For the time being, we’ll stick to photobooks by renowned photographers and publishers. We’re planning on doing a session including self-published photobooks.

At the beginning of the session, we’ll take 10-15 minutes to look through the selection of books. This will allow everyone to have an idea of the content of the books that will be discussed.

Hosts: Alan Eglinton (independent photographer) and Alex Hall (student in photography at ECA)

Maximum number of participants: 15 (Subject to availability)

For inscriptions, RSVP: alaneglinton@gmail.com
